Ayesha Omar appeals to the PM to approve domestic violence bill

Leading actress of the Pakistani film and TV industry, always raising her voice on social issues, Ayesha Omar has demanded from Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide protection to women of the country by having the Domestic abuse and violence bill approved.

In a message posted on the social networking site Twitter, Ayesha Omar retweeted Mahira Khan’s tweet and wrote to Prime Minister Imran Khan, “This bill needs to be passed and laws put in place. So many women are regularly facing Domestic abuse and it’s dismissed as being “ghar ka maamla”. Women need to be protected.”

Earlier in a statement, Pakistan’s leading actress Mahira Khan had called for the passing of a bill to prevent domestic violence.

Mahira Khan said that as long as there is no law, women will continue to be victims of abuse. At the same time, she stressed the need for accountability.

Keep in mind that the number of rape cases is increasing across the country, with each passing day, tragic incidents are emerging in the country and coming to light.

In this regard, showbiz stars, as well as the general public, are seen raising their voices on various social media platforms.
