Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is a super hit old Bollywood film starring not one, two or three but many renowned stars and that is why the popularity of the film has not become less even after two decades.

The film’s director Karan Johar recently told the interesting story of selecting all the star cast in just one day from the Indian music show ‘Indian Idol 12’.

Karan Johar said that he can never forget the day when he signed the whole cast in a day. “I went to the house of one actor after another, first I went to the house of Amitabh Bachchan and told him the story of the film, he immediately became a supporter, then I went out of the house and called Jaya Bachchan, told her the whole story and she agreed to be signed.”

The director of the film further said that after he went to Shah Rukh Khan’s house afterwards, and SRK said to him that he doesn’t need to tell him the whole story, and that he would do the film as the two have a brother’s bond.

He said that he had heard that Kajol was married at time so she might not be able to do the film on which Karan had lined up another actress but when Kajol was told the story of the film, she started crying and she decided to do the film, fully supportive of the director.

Karan further said that he went to Hrithik Roshan’s house, when his debut film ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ had not been released at the time, but Hrithik gladly accepted the offer.

He then went to Kareena Kapoor‘s house at 10 pm the same day and finalized the cast of the film after the actress agreed to getting on-board.
