Mahira Khan returns to television screens after a long hiatus

Leading actress Mahira Khan, who has shown the true essence of her acting across the border in India, as well as in Pakistan, has said that she has been wanting to return to the TV screen since a long time now.

A short video clip of Mahira Khan’s interview is going viral on social media platforms in which the actress spoke about wanting to return to the TV screens.

“I have been thinking of returning to the TV screen for a long time,” said Mahira Khan.

“I thought I would do a film and a drama, but it didn’t happen,” she further said.

“I read a lot of scripts during that long time and I wanted to do them but I couldn’t because I wasn’t destined to do it,” she said.

Referring to her upcoming drama, Mahira Khan said, “”Now, I am doing this drama for which I am very happy.”

It may be recalled that in Mahira Khan‘s new project, actors Usman Mukhtar, Kubra Khan, Haroon Shahid, Shamim Hilali, Zainab Qayyum, Huma Nawab, Laila Wasti, Omair Rana and other actors will be seen on screen alongside the superstar playing important roles.

The play is written by renowned playwright and novelist Umera Ahmed, though the release date of the play has not yet been officially announced.

According to reports, Mahira Khan is playing the role of ‘Mehreen’ in her next project.

It should be noted that Mahira Khan last appeared in a popular drama ‘Bin Roye’ which was aired on private TV in 2016.
