On Monday, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan remembered his ‘mentor’ and ‘teacher’ the king of the rhyme and rhythm Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on his 24th death anniversary

He was born on October 13, 1948, in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and died at the age of 48, leaving a legacy of over 125 albums.

The Afreen Afreen singer shared a throwback picture with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan alongside himself and giving a heartless tribute.

“Always in our hearts Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali khan the legend,” he said in the post, followed by a heart emoji.

“There can only be one Nusrat, my mentor, my instructor, and my ustad,” Rahat Fateh continued.

Today, the great Qawwali legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, also known as “Shahenshah-e-Qawwali” died.

For his contributions to music, he garnered various accolades, including Pride of Performance.
