Sidharth Malhotra’s performance in Shershaah impressed Shah Rukh Khan as he praised Sidharth for his best acting in the movie.

The war film is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, an Indian soldier who served in the Kargil War. The title part is played by Sidharth.
