Shilpa Shetty made her first public statement after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested. Since his arrest on July 19, she has generally avoided social media.

Shilpa Shetty has been quiet on social media since her husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested last month for allegedly being involved in a pornography ring.

She shared her first post since breaking her silence on the subject earlier this month on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day.

Shilpa wrote in an Instagram picture with a visual of the tricolor flag waving in the background and a chakra revolving. “Wishing all my fellow Indians around the world a very Happy Independence Day. #HappyIndependenceDay #74YearsOfIndependence #75thIndependenceDay #SwatantrataDiwas #JaiHind.”

Raj was arrested on July 19 for allegedly producing and transmitting pornographic content through the Hotshots app. He is currently detained by the authorities.
