Leading Pakistani actress Zarnish Khan has expressed deep sadness and concern over the increasing reported incidents of rape, harassment and murder on social media on a daily basis.

Actress Zarnish Khan wrote on her Instagram account expressing concern over the incidents of rape, harassment and murder on a daily basis: “Nowadays, whenever I open my social media, I only see stories about people being raped, murdered, harassed, or fight over women’s clothes. Why is this country in such a mess?”

“I find it extremely depressing to see that our society has become crippled as well as finding itself teetering on the edge of lawlessness” the actress added.

“There needs to be an end to this chaos by the authorities as soon as possible so that we can all feel safe at home and on the streets. We have been racked by terrorism for decades, and now we have these animals wearing human skin to continue the sad story. When will it all end?” wrote the actress, recalling the darkest days of terrorism in Pakistan.

The actress expressed her condolences to the families of the victims of such tragic incidents and prayed for their courage and encouragement.

In the end, Zarnish Khan asked the people to raise their voice for a good cause instead of criticizing someone’s dress, statement or personal preferences referring to the recent incidents when celebrities were heavily backlashed.
