Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein has issued an official statement in response to Angelina Jolie’s assault allegations.

Weinstein responded to Jolie’s allegations through his personal assistant, according to the leading publication, TMZ.

“THERE WAS NEVER AN ASSAULT, and NEVER AN ATTEMPT TO ASSAULT,” he began his response statement.

He continued, “It is brazenly untrue and clickbait publicity.” You’re Angelina Jolie, and I’m sure every male and female in the world is interested in you. Is the entire world coming at you?”

However, before concluding, he added, “It’s very clear to me that this is for more sales on Angie’s BOOK.”

Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for assault and battery charges, and his response comes just days after Jolie revealed her alleged assault in an interview with a major news outlet.
