Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have taken a step forward in their efforts to mend their relationship with the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have offered Queen Elizabeth the use of Windsor Castle for the baptism of their daughter, Lilibet Diana.

According to a source referenced by The Sun, the couple has requested a meeting with the Queen.

“Harry and Meghan have made this offer, but many people are taken aback by their audacity. They may truly want to see the Queen, but given everything they’ve put her through this year, it’s breathtaking,” the insider said.

The Sussex full invitation to see the Queen, however, has left palace employees shocked, according to The Sun.

Although the Palace has not responded to Meghan and Harry’s offer, the Queen has stated that she “remains very fond of Harry and would love to see Lilibet and her brother Archie.” However, after what has happened, courtiers are surprised by the move, particularly from Meghan.”
