Kumail Nanjiani a Pakistani-American actor is overjoyed after his country overcame arch-rivals India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup opening on Sunday.

The Academy Award nominee was live-blogging the high-octane duel on Twitter and expressing support for Pakistan.

“Ok Pakistan needs to finish this up now. Let’s not leave it to the end,” Nanjiani wrote as Pakistan was closing in on victory.

The Eternals star hailed the players and lauded their efforts after Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan led the team to a record 10-wicket win over India with their undefeated half-centuries.

“Fantastic game. And beautiful to see India and Pakistan on the field together,” Kumail wrote, adding applauding emojis along with the tweet.
