The PTV Sports show experienced some unwelcome drama late Tuesday night, shortly after Pakistan vs. New Zealand T20 World Cup match.

While Shoaib Akhtar was going through some cricket trivia, he credited the Pakistan Super League’s Lahore Qalandars team for discovering Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, the show’s host, Nauman Niaz, took offense and snapped back at Shoaib.

In a live show on Pakistan Television (PTV) shortly after Pakistan vs.New Zealand match, TV host Dr. Nauman Niaz and former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar engaged in a tense and aggressive banter.

“Aqib Javed brought Shaheen Shah Afridi into the player development program,” Shoaib stated.

In the middle of Shoaib’s speech, Nauman mentioned that “Shaheen Afridi had played under-19 for Pakistan.”

“I’m talking about Haris Rauf,” Shoaib said.

Shaheen had previously represented Pakistan, according to Nauman Niaz. “Sir, please!” Shoaib Akhtar replied solemnly. “Someone arrived at work, right?.”

“You’re being a little rude. I didn’t want to say this … but if you’re getting over-smart then go. I’m saying this on-air,” responded Nauman.
