Abrar Ul Haq, a Pakistani singer-turned-politician, has come under fire for sharing a brief video of a young girl preparing roti.

Needless to say, the internet was not impressed and was outraged by the singer Abrar Ul Haq’s misogynistic behavior. On Twitter, the Nach Punjabi singer shared a video of a young child, perhaps five or six years old, cooking roti in the kitchen.

However, it was his caption that sparked popular outrage, as he stated, “Right age for the training.”

On the internet, Haq’s ideas caused a stir. While the majority felt that cooking is a fundamental skill that everyone, regardless of gender, should have, others argued that teaching young girls at such a young age reinforces a regressive worldview.
