Comedian Shafaat Ali is all set to star in a role that fans have never seen him do before. Often known for his comic roles in dramas, Shafaat Ali has just signed a project where he’ll be seen playing a very serious character.

Titled “Nayhar Ka Mazhar,” the drama serial has already begun filming and co-stars Saboor Aly, Osama Tahir, Areeba Habib, Farhan Ali Agha, Munazza Arif, Rabia Noreen, Saima Qureshi, Anamta, and Omar Alam.

The stand-up comedian is hoping that his serious side will take fans by surprise. Shafaat also revealed that the drama revolves around the theme of dowry and we’re excited to see how he morphs his comic self into a more serious self.

Shafaat rose to fame after videos of him mimicking Imran Khan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Shahbaz Sharif went viral in 2016. A year later he made his acting debut with Romeo Weds Heer which featured Sana Javed and Feroze Khan as the leads. He also stepped onto the silver screen to mark his movie debut with Parvaaz Hai Junoon in 2018 which featured Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, and Ahad Raza Mir in pivotal roles.
