Areeba Habib, Zarnish Khan stand against item numbers

Tv actors Areeba and Zarnish think that the content and storyline is the main attraction of our industry and doesn’t need an added item number to bring the views.

Appearing on the Time Out featuring Ahsan Khan, Areeba first talked about why she doesn’t do item numbers by saying, “I don’t like them at all, she said.” “Why do they include them in our films? She further questioned. “Our films don’t need these item numbers, they are already so nice.”

Areeba then went back to her earlier comment, saying, “we shouldn’t do item numbers because we do not have the audience for it here and neither it is liked here.”

She concluded by citing Mahira Khan’s song ‘Noori,’ saying that it is such a pretty song, why should one call it an item number?

Zarnish Khan, the other guest on the show, was also seen agreeing to the former, saying, “Content is our strong suit. There is a reason other need item songs because it’s their selling point and not ours.”
