The royal couple’s current Caribbean trip has been marred by protests, first in Belize and then in Jamaica, with rumors alleging that further protests are planned for their next visit, the Bahamas.

Following the rallies calling for the monarchy to apologize for colonialism and make reparations for slavery, activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu slammed Kate and William’s royal visit as ‘tone-deaf.’

Dr. Shola further asserted that when the royal trip finishes, Jamaicans want to depose Queen Elizabeth as Head of State, according to Express UK.

Taking to Twitter to share her thoughts, Dr Shola said: “Read the room William and Kate. You’re on a fool’s errand.”

She then claimed: “Jamaica Govt will commence the removal of the Queen as Head of State once the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge leave.”

Dr Shola went on to write: “#RoyalTourCaribbean is an utter failure. Times have changed and the tide has turned. This #PlatinumJubilee tour is tone deaf.”
