Following Tom Holland’s comment in one of his Spider-Man interviews that he would love to face Jared Leto’s MCU character Morbius. The latter has now spoken on a Spider-Man-Morbius crossover and why it would work perfectly. During his red carpet interview at the Critics Choice Awards 2022, Leto had the chance to discuss his next film Morbius.

Following the legendary cameos of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are keen to see more of these moments onscreen. And there has been speculation about whether Tom Holland’s superhero would appear in Leto’s Morbius. The Morbius star revealed what their crossover might entail when asked about it, “I’ll tell you what, I’d love to fight Spider-Man in the ring. I think Tom Holland is fantastic, and we’d form a great team,” the actor said.

While the prospect of a Spider-Man and Morbius showdown seems intriguing. The actor has yet to confirm that such a project is in the works. Leto had already stated how Marvel’s multiverse had affected things. Claiming that there are now a lot more options for villains to meet together.

Jared Leto stars alongside Adria Anjona, Michael Keaton, Jared Harris, and others in the film Morbius, directed by Daniel Espinosa. On April 1, 2022, the film will be released in theatres.
