In the upcoming sequel to Magic Mike, Matthew McConaughey could reprise his role as Dallas. Recently, the actor expressed his desire to be a part of the impending third instalment of the Magic Mike franchise. In a new Instagram post, McConaughey reminisced on his time on the set of the first instalment of the movie. Posting a photo of himself alongside Channing and simply captioning it, “Call me,” while also tagging the actor. Fans have done the math and added two and two together. Deducing from McConaughey’s latest post that he may have hinted to a return to his iconic role in the film. Many people praised his performance as Dallas because he had previously only appeared in rom-coms and this role was a major departure for him.

However, due to his success and consequently busier schedule, he was unable to star in Magic Mike XXL in the second instalment of the trilogy. In an interview with Variety via Comicbook earlier this year, McConaughey expressed his surprise when asked if he would return for the sequel. “Call me, bro, Channing Tatum! I haven’t heard from you in a long time!” Stated the actor.
