In a fiery BAFTA address, Rebel Wilson mocks Harry and Meghan Markle. During her appearance as presenter of this year’s BAFTAs, Rebel Wilson took aim at a number of celebrities.

In her caustic remarks, Host insulted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Andrew, and Sir Kenneth Brannagh. At this year’s BAFTA film awards, Rebel Wilson was the cause of a few memorable moments, including a surprising remark regarding estranged royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Her remarks came after a performance in 2021 in which she made a joke at Prince Andrew, who was humiliated at the time.

As she addressed the splendour and glamour in front of her, Andrew – who this year paid damages to Virginia Giuffre, who accused the prince of sexually abusing her – was inevitably the brunt of Rebel’s jokes.
Andrew has consistently refuted Giuffre’s assertions.

She said: “So I was going to do a musical number as host, it was about Prince Andrew though. Um, no guys, it’s no, it’s not what you think.

“It was on roller skates, it’s called Pizza Express. But don’t worry, I’m not gonna do it, I’m not gonna sing. I’m saving my voice for the sequel to Cats.”

This year, it wasn’t just the ousted duke who took a verbal thrashing from Rebel; other celebrities and international figures were also subjected to an Australian tongue-lashing.

Rebel mocked Harry and Meghan’s chat with Oprah Winfrey on stage at the BAFTAs, claiming that it should have been nominated for an award.

Rebel joked that the interview was regretfully not nominated for an Academy Award for Outstanding British Film.

She said: “From drama to fantasy, Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview had it all. Unfortunately, that’s not nominated in this category, but some incredible films are.”
