Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an actress and singer from the United States. Hudgens rose to popularity as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series, which garnered her substantial mainstream success, after making her feature film debut in Thirteen.

Best Actor nominee Andrew Garfield reunited with costar Vanessa Hudgens at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday to co-host ABC’s Oscars Red Carpet Show.

In the musical biopic, Hudgens played Karessa Johnson, while Garfield played Jonathan Larson. Garfield, 38, laughed about the difficulty of keeping up in a musical duet with the High School Musical star, 33, as the two reminisced about making the big-screen musical.

“Remember our number ‘Therapy’? That was the hardest stuff I’ve ever had to do in my life,” told Hudgens,’ he said. “And you were just … nailing every single dang thing. And I’m just sweating with my perm and just going, ‘There’s no way I can keep up with Hudgens.’ ”

She replied, “With the perm is the best part.”

Tick, Tick… Boom! follows ambitious composer Larson as he races against the clock in New York City, seeking to create an amazing work of art before his 30th birthday.

Lin-Manuel Miranda made his feature film directorial debut with the film. Miranda, 42, celebrated the premiere of the film adaption of his famous musical In The Heights two days before the teaser was released.

Larson is well known to write and  creater the Broadway blockbuster Rent. He died on the morning of the musical’s first off-Broadway preview on Jan. 25, 1996, at the age of 35.

Larson received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and three Tony Awards for best musical, best book of a musical, and best original score after his death for his work on Rent.
