Why didn’t The Queen attend the 2022 Commonwealth Day service?

Although the Queen has recovered from Covid, her return to royal duties in her Platinum Jubilee year has been delayed.

Her Majesty’s absence is not due to a new illness, according to the palace.

Instead, concerns have been raised that attending the service on March 14 may be too taxing on her health.

There has also been speculation that she should take her time and regain her strength before attending Prince Phillip’s memorial service on March 29.

The journey from Windsor, Berkshire to Central London is 30 miles long, and concerns have been raised about the Queen’s comfort during the journey.
