Prince Harry and Meghan Markle meet the the Royal Family amid family crisis

A royal specialist is analysing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent Windsor visit.

The meeting between the Sussexes and Prince Charles lasted only 15 minutes, according to Richard Kay of the Daily Mail, but it did offer an olive branch amid the split. The pair had previously skipped Prince Philip’s memorial ceremony, and this gesture, as well as the Windsor visit, has been hailed as vital for the couple’s ‘longterm position’ in the family.

“The Queen was delighted by Harry’s offer to break his lengthy trip from Los Angeles to the Hague, where he is attending the Invictus Games, with a stopover at Windsor to visit his grandmother a year after their last meeting at Prince Philip’s burial. The time was crucial “In his note, he begins.

“Easter’s promise of spiritual regeneration and forgiveness — such a significant time of year for the Queen – provided an opportunity to her.”

But there was a catch: Harry would have to see his father first before seeing the Queen.

“The Prince of Wales was also in Windsor, with the Duchess of Cornwall, where he was standing in for his mother to present Maundy money to community figures, with no logistical issues.”

“Today, all parties agreed that these discussions were a critical first step for Harry and his family’s reunion.” Harry and Meghan are said to have met Charles for 15 minutes about 10 a.m.

“According to a source, Camilla arrived in the middle of the meeting.

“After that, Charles and Camilla left the castle together for St George’s Cathedral. This was the more crucial of the two encounters in many respects. In recent months, Harry and his father have scarcely spoken.

Prince Charles adores his son, despite Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year and his planned book, which is likely to further expose the family.”

‘He loves his son and has been broken-hearted by everything that has happened,’ one of his long-time friends told me, ‘yet he worries history repeating itself with Harry, just as it did with Princess Diana.’ He does, however, want to leave the door open and continue chatting, something he regrets not doing with Diana.’

After that, the Duke went to visit the Queen.

“After saying their goodbyes to Charles, Harry and Meghan went to the Queen’s private suite, where the mood was said to be a lot less tense,” Richard adds.

“Even if many of Harry’s words and behaviours have perplexed and irritated her over the last two years, her grandson is something of a favourite.”

‘He’s always been able to make her laugh, and she adores him for it,’ said a friend.

‘To this day, her eyes light up whenever she hears Harry on the phone.’ It’s no accident, though, that Harry and Meghan’s social media supporters have been uncharacteristically silent about the content of the meetings.

“I’m informed that not revealing facts is considered as a method of regaining confidence in the relationship,” Richard concludes.
