According to reports, A$AP Rocky was held at LAX on Wednesday morning in connection with a shooting that occurred in 2021.

According to NBC News, the “Praise the Lord” rapper was apprehended at a California airport following his widely publicised trip to Barbados with pregnant girlfriend Rihanna.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations unit assisted LAPD in making the arrest.

Rocky’s incarceration has yet to be confirmed by an LAPD spokesperson. ICE did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was reportedly under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for his alleged involvement in a shooting on Nov. 6.

The survivor later informed authorities that the rapper approached him on the street with a firearm while walking with two others. According to police investigations, the victim said Mayers shot him three to four times and that one of the bullets grazed his left hand.

The location of the shooting had not yet been revealed.

Rocky was previously in legal trouble in 2019, when he was arrested and imprisoned for a month in Sweden for his role in a street brawl with accused “drug addicts.”

Rocky and two members of his crew were ordered to be released until the judge revealed the results in the high-profile assault case that drew the attention of President Donald Trump.

In a statement after his release, Rocky reflected on his one-month jail stint, calling it a “very difficult and humbling experience.”
