Calam Lynch, the star of ‘Bridgerton,’ pleaded with the filmmakers to include shirtless scenes.

In “Bridgerton,” Calam Lynch was “so up for” being shirtless.

Unfortunately for the actor, his character, printer’s assistant Theo Sharpe, kept his shirt on for the whole second season, much to his dismay.

“I already work out, so I was like, ‘Finally, there’s a reason.'” ‘I can show the rest of the world!’ Lynch, 27, tells Page Six in an exclusive new interview with a chuckle.

“I was bugging [executive producers] Tom [Verica] and Chris [Van Dusen], as well as everyone else on set, asking, ‘What do you think?'” Maybe Theo isn’t wearing a shirt in this scene? ‘Perhaps he’s doing the printing, but he’s naked.’

Despite Lynch’s admission that he devised “any excuse for Theo to be topless in the programme,” he regrets that “that surely did not happen.”

Lynch plays a crucial part in the romance Netflix series, as a possible love interest for Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), who comes to him for information about Lady Whistledown’s actual identity (Julie Andrews). They almost kiss, but their romance is doomed for the time being due to their radically different socioeconomic statuses.

“I hope they [end up together],” says the star of “Dunkirk.” “I hope they do it for Eloise’s sake, because I think Theo would be alright. He’s come from a rough background, and while it would hurt his heart if they didn’t end up together, I think he’d find a way to go on.”

“However, I believe Eloise, especially in a love partner, has to be questioned.”

If Lynch knows if the burgeoning romance will continue next season, he’s staying quiet, telling us that he sees “the attractiveness of it being a one-series arc,” but that the plot “leaves the door open.”
