Cheryl Burke Shares a ‘Hot’ New Topless Picture Amid Matthew Lawrence’s Divorce
The statement comes over a month after actor Matthew Lawrence reacted to Cheryl Burke’s divorce application, citing “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for their split.
Cheryl Burke isn’t scared to flaunt her skin!
The Dancing with the Stars pro flaunted a recent beauty session in an Instagram photo on Friday, standing topless with just her hands to cover up.
In the caption, the professional dancer said, “Good hair day.” “Also, LA, keep cool – it’s hot today.” Burke, 37, also expressed gratitude to her makeup and hairstylists, Kelsey Gusto and Zena Green.
Burke’s original divorce application, which she filed after almost three years of marriage on Feb. 18 with a reported date of separation of Jan. 7, received a response from actor Matthew Lawrence about a month ago.
Lawrence, 42, requested that the court’s power to grant spousal support to either individual be revoked, according to a legal answer obtained by PEOPLE in March.
According to the lawsuit, he also requested that the former couple’s prenuptial agreement be respected. The agreement would specify how assets would be divided and whether or not spousal support would be provided. The cause for their breakup, according to Lawrence, was “irreconcilable disagreements.”
Burke spoke candidly about being on her own after their split in an Instagram post last month.
“I’ve found that if I have some huge emotions to handle in my life, the best thing for me to do is spend some time alone – except from being with [my dog] Ysa, of course, but she actually feels like she is a part of me, so she doesn’t count,” Burke began her article. “To be honest, I’m not used to actually feeling my feelings.”
“I’m discovering that genuinely going through things is A LOT tougher,” the dancer said, noting that she had spent her “entire life up to this point attempting to suppress” her feelings.
“There’s an obvious reason it’s difficult,” she said, “because the feelings I’m experiencing right now are complicated and not exactly cheerful.” “However, the less obvious explanation is that I’m finding I have a tendency to evaluate my own sentiments, which is amplified when I’m among other people.”
“I become so fixated on other people’s perceptions of how I’m coping with my feelings – which then causes me to doubt if I’m experiencing things the ‘correct way,'” Burke continued in her essay.
“I also know I can’t be the only person that does,” Burke said, while knowing she “shouldn’t do it.”
“I think all of that is to say, being alone for a few days has been the best thing for me to properly experience my feelings, whatever they may be,” she continued.
Burke closed her article by saying, “I would certainly advise anyone else out there to try it and not feel bad for wanting that space.”
