According to some assumptions if  Joker ends up making an appearance in Gotham Knights, the absence of his rival Batman could make him more maniac and terrifying than ever.

The WB Games Montréal’s forthcoming Gotham Knight took place in a world without Batman, that means that if Joker appears, it could be even more horrifying than usual. There is still many to be announced about the upcoming co-op title, including how Gotham Knights will use GCPD and the late Jim Gordon’s replacement, it’s possible that iconic Batman villains like the Clown Prince of Crime will show up. If this role ends up being implemented, then there are many of ways the game could differentiate its version from other interpretations, start with his reaction to Batman’s death.

It is said that Bruce Wayne has died prior to the events of Gotham Knights, which leaves Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood to secure Gotham without him. Trailers for the game have revealed that villains like Mister Freeze and Penguin will be  appearing, with more members of this iconic rogues gallery sure to show up throughout the course of the story.

Joker is typically defined by his relationship with Batman, so a world without the Dark Knight have many horrifying and chaotic possibilities for his development.

In most iterations, DC Universe the four playable characters of this game are more than capable, with Gotham Knights’ Batgirl being capable Batman replacement, none of these roles have the Dark Knight’s same level of training or experience, which leaves them comparably ill-equipped to face a warning like The Joker.
