The wedding celebrations for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have begun with a bang! The haldi-mehendi ceremony was held today, which was the first day of their wedding festivities.

Early in the afternoon, the guests arrived for the Mehendi ceremony, dressed in gorgeous costumes. The Kapoor sisters, Kareena and Karisma, were among those who wore voguish costumes to their brother’s mehendi ceremony. Kareena wore a lehenga for the occasion, while Karisma wore an orange anarkali.

Kareena picked a Manish Malhotra-embellished white lehenga dress for her cousin Ranbir’s mehendi ceremony. A richly embroidered sleeveless top with large straps, a wide square neckline, elaborate sequined embroidery all over, a midriff-baring hem, and an open back with beaded adornments was part of the lavish ensemble. Sequins, floral thread work, and gota patti work adorned the lehenga.

Bebo sealed the deal with a sequin-embellished zari dupatta with gota embellished borders. She had her hair half-tied in the middle and accessorised with diamond studs, a diamond necklace, and a gleaming clutch. With a dewy base, shimmering eyeshadow, sleek eyeliner, flushed cheeks, and nude lipstick, the actress kept her makeup simple.

Lolo chose a vibrant orange colour over Bebo’s pastels. Punit Balana’s orange anarkali had a plunging round neckline with gold threadwork and sequins, a heavily pleated ghera, a fitted bodice with exquisite decorations, and long sleeves. The outfit was completed with churidar pants and an embroidered dupatta that matched.

Karisma’s sunny ensemble was complemented by gold jewellery, such as jhumkas, maangtikka, bangles, and rings. With customary juttis, she sealed the deal. Karisma wore her hair back in an elegant bun and wore a glossy base, smokey eyes, and berry-toned lipstick to keep her look basic.
