Mike Parker contestant of American Idol made it to the top 20 on April 17, 2022.
Show’s judge Luke Bryan gave Parker tittle “superstar.”
Parker is among top 20 contestants to make it to American Idol.
Parker was born in Gainsville, Virginia, and he attended Fauquier High School.
On show named The Voice, he made it to Jennifer Hudson’s team after his third try during season 15.
Along with singing passion, Parker also played football in high school as a wide receiver and defensive back.
He released his single titled Still Stingy om August 2021.
On American Idol, Parker performed Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd’s song Chasing After You.
Also week prior he sang Best Shot by Jimmie Allen. Parker didn’t knew that Allen had been brought to the set of the show as guest mentor some of the singers.
Parker added that Allen has inspired him to pursue country music.
Allen responded emotionally to Parker and said, “That song … I was the first Black country artist with a No. 1 debut single. To have you singing that song now is so dope.”
Allen added, “My mom used to always tell me, ‘You’re not just doing this for you.’ Hearing you telling me now how I’m your inspiration reminds me of my purpose.”
