“Jail” by Kanye West and Jay-Z has won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song in 2022. DMX (“Bath Salts”), Saweetie (“Best Friend”), Baby Keem (“Family Ties”), and J. Cole (“My Life”) were all nominated, but the Donda tune won out.

The invite to play at the show was apparently cancelled owing to West’s internet activity, according to the Recording Academy.

Donda was also nominated for “Album Of The Year,” but was defeated by Tyler, the Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost for “Best Rap Album.”

West won Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Hurricane” with the Weeknd and Lil Baby before winning Best Rap Song. Jay-Z currently has a total of 24 Grammy Awards.
