An enthusiastic fan apparently tried to crawl under a shutter to the stage door at the theatre where Jodie Comer’s play Prima Facie was being performed in London, causing a security scare.

The actress, 29, is said to have been hurried out of a different entrance when a man in a suit with roses attempted to meet her at her customary exit last Saturday.

The individual was displaying ‘worrying’ behaviour to security staff, according to The Sun, and Jodie would no longer greet admirers outside the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End ‘to protect Jodie as much as possible.’

‘The gathering was largely young girls, so this man looked really out of place,’ a fan told the publication.

‘He claimed to be from Hungary, but he spoke with a French accent.

‘He was scrolling through images of Jodie on his phone. A few of the fans standing near him were worried by his behaviour, so they notified security staff.’

Any security concerns were addressed when the CCTV was inspected, according to a source, and the fan meetings were halted to reduce the risk of Covid infection.
