According to a royal specialist, Meghan Markle’s enthusiastic comment in an interview while engaged to Prince Harry created “shudders inside the Palace.”

Meghan and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted the Royal Foundation’s first forum event months before her wedding to Harry.

The two spouses discussed the nonprofit organization and its future plans at the event.

The organization was founded by Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry, with Meghan joining them in February 2018 and speaking at the occasion.

She expressed her desire to “strike the ground running” when it comes to working with royal organizations during the discussion.

According to The Telegraph, royal novelist Tina Brown recalls Meghan’s remark causing “shudders in the Palace,” where things move at a slower pace, in her new book The Palace Papers.

“I think Meghan felt she could get in there and fix it all,” Ms Brown, a former editor of Vanity Fair who was acquainted with Princess Diana, said in an interview with the publication.

“Frankly, she could have done a great deal to change things had she stuck around, but the thing that’s most baffling is such impatience. She could have spent a year away and come back with a great game plan.”
