New Comedy series ‘Bupkis’ to cast Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson will star in a new Peacock series.
The comedy series “Bupkis,” written, starred, and executive produced by Davidson, was acquired by the streaming service in a much contested bidding war on Wednesday.
The show will be a live-action comedy based on Davidson’s real life, but it will be “fictionalized.”
According to Davidson, the series would combine “solid storyline with ludicrous elements.”
“With his brilliant, one-of-a-kind humor and honest point of view, Pete Davidson is one of today’s most sought-after comedians,” said Susan Rovner, chairman, entertainment content, NBC Universal Television and Streaming.
“As we continue to enhance our Peacock comedy portfolio, Bupkis will highlight Pete’s witty, shocking, and unfiltered kind of humor that audiences have come to appreciate. We can’t wait to get started with Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video, and our Universal Television colleagues.”
Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David will serve as executive producers.
Dave Sirus and Judah Miller, Davidson’s longstanding creative colleagues, are writing and executive producing alongside him.
