Twinkle Khanna has made a name for herself as a well-known actor and a brilliant writer. She surprised her admirers by revealing that her short story Salaam Noni Appa from her book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad will be turned into a film.

Twinkle announced the news on Instagram, stating that it is a unique film. Sonal Dabral will direct the film, which will be co-produced by Applause Entertainment, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Mrs Funnybones Movies.

Twinke said “Salaam Noni Appa, from my second book, loosely based on the relationship between my grandmother and her sister, was first adapted into a lovely play. It’s a surreal moment to join hands with Applause and Ellipsis and see it turning into a movie, continuing to reach wider audiences, and leaping across multiple mediums.”

Twinkle also mentioned while sharing the news, “This movie is truly special because I am working with some incredibly talented friends like @tanuj.garg @sameern @atulkasbekar and it is being directed by leading adman @agracadabra.”
