Following Prince Harry’s absence from Prince Philip’s memorial ceremony, he has been chastised for being the only senior member of the Royal Family who did not attend.
The event to honor the Duke of Edinburgh drew almost 1,800 guests, including 27 representatives of the overseas monarchy.
The Duke of Sussex, on the other hand, stayed at his £11 million Californian property with his wife Meghan and is now being chastised by royal watchers and the public for his “shameful” absence.

Richard Griffin, who worked as bodyguard for the late Duke for 14 years, said Harry’s absence was “a great disappointment for everybody.”
“People were talking about it,” he continued.
People around me were certainly suggesting that he should.

“As far as I’m concerned, all this gibberish about how he couldn’t obtain protection was a pitiful excuse.” He should’ve come to pay his respects to his grandfather.

“At the end of the day, if he was so concerned about security, he could have stayed with his brother and father, who have excellent security, and he would have been perfectly secure.”

Ingrid Seward, royal novelist, and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, who wrote Prince Philip Revealed, added that the couple missed a chance by not attending.

“Harry had to have realized it would come out as petulant and unpleasant. “And if he hadn’t, Meghan would have,” she explained.

“The wall of stillness was as deafening as if they had yelled from the rafters of the monastery.” The typically obnoxious duke and duchess of Sussex said nothing.
