Tom Parker of THE WANTED has resolved to battle an incurable brain tumour in order to live long enough to watch his children grow up.

The 33-year-old singer died Wednesday afternoon after being diagnosed with “inoperable” glioblastoma in October 2020.

Tom gained to stardom as a member of the chart-topping boy band The Wanted, but in October 2020, he discovered he had stage 4 glioblastoma.

But the actor battled hard to extend his life by undergoing pioneering treatment to limit the tumor’s progression – and delivered an inspiring response when asked if he accepted that his children would grow up without their father.

“No, because I’m going to be here, I’m going to fight this,” he told a magazine.

“We have to be positive,” his devoted wife Kelsey stated. The prognosis is based on considerably older persons, as this often affects those above the age of 50.

“Tom is a young, otherwise fit and healthy person, and he has a far higher chance of overcoming this and benefiting from some of the new medicines available.”
