Watch: First glimpse of new series ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ shown, and it’s as crazy as ever

After a long hiatus, Britain’s Got Talent is finally back on our televisions. Due to the constraints that came with you-know-what, the ITV talent show hasn’t delighted us on the weekend in two years.

However, as evidenced by a freshly published first peek at the 15th series, the show is ready to return larger and stronger than ever.

Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, and David Walliams, as well as some of the best – and not-so-great – talents from throughout the UK and Ireland, will all be returning to the show.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, of course, will be there to cheer us on every step of the way.

Everything we love about the show, from performing dogs to magic feats, fantastic musical performances, and perilous stunts, appears to be returning in a new teaser aired by ITV on Thursday.

Of course, half the fun is watching the judges squabble, and it appears like there will be plenty of it in the future, with the film showing Amanda taking over Simon’s buzzer to force him to reject the performer (how the tables have turned!).

With more than a few clips showing Amanda, David, Simon, and Alesha shouting, clamping their hands over their mouths, or covering their eyes, shocking and uncomfortable moments appear to be on the way.

Fans of the show won’t have to wait long, as the new series premieres on ITV on Saturday, April 16, and continues on Sunday with a brand-new episode.

With a dramatic video clip, Ant and Dec earlier revealed the wonderful news of the show’s impending comeback on Wednesday.

‘It’s been such a long time since Britain’s Got Talent has been on our screens,’ Dec began along with some sombre music before the mood turned to pure joy as they announced the show would be back within weeks.

The 15th series was supposed to start filming early last year, but it was delayed and eventually postponed until 2022.

The show announced its comeback this year last month with a teaser clip that included a compilation of some of its most memorable auditions.

Ant and Dec were even seen behind-the-scenes of one of this year’s auditions, with Ant exclaiming, ‘That’s what it’s all about!’

Britain’s Got Talent premiered in June 2007 and soon become a staple of British television.

Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer favourite Jon Courtenay was voted the overall champion in the most recent series, which took place in 2020.

Britain’s Got Talent premieres on ITV on Saturday, April 16 and runs through Sunday, April 17.
