On May 20, 2022, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander made a rare red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actress—and ambassador for the French fashion house—wore a black asymmetrical pleated blouse with short shorts, black strappy shoes, and a structured purse to the Vanity Fair x Louis Vuitton event. Michael, 45, was dressed professionally in a navy suit and a fresh white shirt with no tie.

The pair last walked the red carpet together in March 2020 at the Dublin International Film Festival premiere of Calm With Horses, which Michael executive produced.

On the production of the tragic film The Light Between Oceans in 2014, Alicia, 33, and Michael met and fell in love. The ultra-private couple married in Ibiza in October 2017 after never officially declaring their engagement.
