Amy Hart Love Island star has urged her female fans to book in for a smear test following a health scare.

The 28-year-old stated that her own test result was ‘dodgy,’ and that she will now have to face additional treatments.

Amy, a reality celebrity, resorted to Twitter to urge her fans to take the quiz.

“Just a random reminder to book any overdue smear tests please gals,” she wrote.

“My follow up smear has come back dodgy so progressing to the next set of tests. Don’t leave it!”

The statement has already received over 700 retweets, with followers eager to support the star’s advise.

One user replied: “I got mine and it came back that I had the HPV virus which can cause pre cancerous cells. Luckily I went back for another smear a year later and it’s all cleared up and I’m all good. You’ve done the right thing and I’m sure all will be okay. So important to get checked. 100%”

Another replied: “Thank you for the reminder. I had dodgy results on a few tests so had a total hysterectomy to be sure. Note I had passed my child bearing years so the was no need to hang on to my bits and pieces! All the best for you.”

A third added: “So so so important to keep going for regular smears, pre cancerous cells are common and treatable. It’s not pleasant and can be nerve racking if it’s your first time, nurses have seen everything you have to offer a million times over don’t be embarrassed.”

Amy said earlier this month that she wants to give up her reality TV job and pursue a career as a politician.

Lifting the lid on her career goals, Amy told The Sun: “I think I could be a relatable MP – something a lot of them are not. I think integrity and compassion is missing in politics and I can bring that.

“I have a nice life now, I earn good money. I don’t need to get into politics but I would love to.”

She went on to say that if she were to enter politics, she hoped to make a positive difference in other people’s lives.
