In a forthcoming meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House, Korean pop phenomenon BTS will discuss increasing anti-Asian hate crimes and prejudice in the country and throughout the world.

According to CNN and Reuters, President Biden and BTS will speak on Tuesday on “the value of diversity and inclusion” and BTS’ duty as youth ambassadors to “send a message of optimism and happiness throughout the world.”

Meanwhile, followers have taken to social media to express their delight and enthusiasm for the musical star.

According to one user, BTS is one of the first Korean groups to visit the White House.

The seven-piece musical group has previously been vocal about anti-Asian sentiment and has even called out racial prejudice on social media.

“We oppose racial prejudice.” We oppose violence. We all have the right to be respected, including you and me. “We shall stand together,” the pop sensation declared.

Previously, one of the band members spoke about enduring prejudice as an Asian.

“We have experienced expletives for no cause and have been insulted for our appearance.” “They even inquired why Asians spoke English,” he explained.

“We cannot put into words the sorrow of becoming the subject of hatred and violence mostly because we look different,” the musical trio continued.
