James Moore, who stars in Emmerdale, has proposed to his girlfriend Sophie. Charity’s long-lost son Ryan Stocks, whom she assumed died at birth, was played by James, who joined the cast of the series in 2018.

James announced the happy news on social media. He posted photos of the happy pair as well as the odd pink stone ring.

“We got engaged!” James captioned a shot of Sophie pointing at the ring. After meeting in 2019, the couple has been together for nearly three years.

Their friends and relatives were quick to congratulate them on the new position. Mike Parr, a former co-star, wrote, “Go on my son” (Ross Barton).

James has ataxic cerebral palsy, a kind of cerebral palsy that affects motor function and can cause balance and coordination issues.

The actor confessed that he had almost given up on his acting career because he believed there were not enough disabled opportunities in the industry.

“I was like that could hold me back a little bit because there needs to be disabled roles produced in order to have roles,” James remarked in 2018.

James aspired to be an actor since he was 13 but couldn’t find work, so he went to the National Youth Theatre and performed in a number of plays and short films after earning a degree in photography.

Surprisingly, he landed an Emmerdale audition just two weeks after signing with an agent.
