Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced on Instagram on Friday that he and his husband Justin Mikita are expecting their second child.

‘We are expanding our family,’ said the Modern Family star, 46, in an announcement video.

The actor also referenced Tuesday’s tragic elementary school shooting in Texas: ‘There is a lot of really horrible stuff going on in the world right now, so Justin and I wanted to share a little bit of good news with you.’

Ferguson and Mikita, 36, already have a one-year-old son named Beckett, and they are’so delighted for Beckett to have a sibling.’

Beckett will become a big brother ‘this fall,’ according to the Screen Actors Guild Award winner, who also gave his fans a hint about the due date.

Aside with the video, the actor also uploaded a selfie of himself and Mikita with their fertility specialist, Dr. Shahin Ghadir.
