essica Biel, who co-stars with Melanie Lynskey as axe murderer Candy Montgomery in the true crime series, opened up about her husband’s appearance.

Jason Ritter, Timberlake and Lynskey’s husband, appeared in the series as police officers investigating Gore’s death at the hands of Montgomery.

“Justin was going over the scripts. “We always share material and take notes from each other and stuff like that,” Biel explained to Entertainment Weekly.

“And as he was reading it, he inquired about that particular character, Steve Deffibaugh, and asked, ‘Who’s playing this guy?'” ‘Oh, I don’t know,’ I said. Probably like a fantastic local Atlanta actor.’

The conversation was basically, ‘We don’t have any money left.’ ‘I want to play this part,’ he said. ‘Yeah,’ I said. Okay.’ ‘No, no,’ he says. ‘I’d like to play this part.'”
