Fans were outraged when Hollywood star Johnny Depp revealed his celebrity crush to Ellen DeGeneres.

In an interview with comedian, host, and actress Ellen DeGeneres in 2017, a year after his divorce from Heard, the Pirates of the Caribbean star revealed that he once had a crush on actress Carol Channing, a well-known Broadway star from the mid-twentieth century.

When the host accused Johnny Depp of lying about his first crush, the actor insisted Carol Channing was, in fact, his first crush.

Depp’s interview has resurfaced in the midst of his ongoing defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The three-time Academy Award nominee and Heard met on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009 and married in February 2015. Two years later, their divorce was finalised.
