As she cross-examined Johnny Depp on Thursday, his lawyer Camille Vasquez informed Amber Heard that her falsehoods had been revealed to the world several times.
Camille also questioned Amber Heard about committing perjury and leaking information to the press in order to slant the case in her favour. Amber has sued Johnny for $50 million in slander, and he has countersued her for $100 million.
The case’s trial, which has been going on since April of 2022, is slated to end on May 27. Camille did a tough cross-examination of Amber for allegedly lying on the witness stand the day before the last hearing. Amber is seen on the witness stand being questioned by Camille in recordings from the ongoing trial in Virginia.
Camille asked Amber, “Your lies have been exposed to the world multiple times?” to which the latter responded, “I haven’t lied about anything.”
Camilla interrogated Amber about the events in Hicksville, where she alleges Johnny seized a woman’s wrist and threatened to break it because he was envious of her leaning on his wife.
When Camille inquired about contracting testimony, Amber stated that many individuals make statements simply to be a part of ‘the Johnny Depp show,’ but the actor claimed that many people make statements just to be a part of ‘the Johnny Depp show.’
Amber said she attacked Johnny once after hearing that he knocked his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss down the stairs and was worried he would do the same to her sister Whitney Heard, who was attempting to break up a disagreement between them. Camille questioned Amber if she hadn’t expected Kate Moss’ recent testimony in Johnny’s favour, to which the actor replied, “Incorrect, I knew how many people will come out of the woodwork to support Johnny.”
Camilla also inquired if Amber had leaked information to the press when she appeared in court in May 2016 with a bruised face, reportedly as a consequence of domestic abuse by Johnny, to obtain a restraining order against him.
“You alerted TMZ you would be filing?” Camille inquired, and Amber said, “No, I did not.” The media was there on the day Amber “didn’t bother to use cosmetics to cover up the mark” on her face, Camille said. “What survivor of domestic violence wants that?” Amber remarked, denying that her legal team had alerted the media.
