Jon Batiste gets COVID-19 , postpones Carnegie Hall event

Jon Batiste, an American music sensation, tested positive for COVID-19 just days after attending the Met Gala 2022 event in New York City.

The Freedom singer stated on Thursday that he and his crew have contracted COVID-19 and that his planned Carnegie Hall performance would be rescheduled.

The venue announced that the Grammy-winning musician, 35,’must regrettably postpone this show, since he and members of his staff have tested positive for COVID-19,’ and that the event will be rescheduled.

In a press release, the I Need You actor expressed gratitude to his fans for their support. “I am grateful to all of my fans for their love and understanding. We’ll talk again shortly.”

Batiste had been informing followers about the approaching show. He shared rehearsal footage of himself playing the keyboard and prepping for the big night on Instagram.

He stated in the caption, “The third day of AMERICAN SYMPHONY rehearsal is complete. We had some fun with the E-mu SP-1200 drum machine near the conclusion of rehearsal.”
