During his concert in Buffalo, New York on Sunday, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber observed a moment of silence for the victims of a supermarket shooting.

On Saturday, an 18-year-old gunman opened fire in a supermarket, killing at least ten people.

On Sunday, the Peaches singer shared a video of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “To the people who couldn’t stay silent to honour the lives that were so tragically lost, I urge you to ask yourself why.”

The singer took the stage at the city’s Keybank Center, remembering the victims of the incident. “It’s a true honour to be back here. As you know, there has been tragedy in the city, but what we’re going to do tonight is honour those people, and I’d appreciate it if we could just take a moment of silence. That would mean a great deal to me “Before bowing his head in silence on stage, he said to the audience.

Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber’s husband, also shared a video of the speech he gave to his crew backstage before the show.
