Kate Moss Set To Testify In Johnny Depp Trial

According to the Press Association, citing a “source close to Mr Depp,” model Kate Moss is likely to testify in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Depp is suing Heard for a 2018 Washington Post piece in which she claimed she was a victim of domestic violence. While she did not name the Pirates of the Caribbean star, Depp’s lawyers have contended that the piece erroneously implied he was physically and sexually abusive while they were together.

Moss, 48, is now expected to testify in the case, according to a source close to Depp, who told PA that she will testify this week.

It comes after film appeared to show Depp’s legal team rejoicing when Heard named Moss while talking about hearing a rumour that Depp had shoved the supermodel down a flight of stairs.

Moss, who dated Depp in the 1990s, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, May 25 via video link.

Despite the fact that a number of well-known names appeared on the first witness lists for the trial, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and actors James Franco and Paul Bettany, none have been summoned thus far.

Actress Ellen Barkin, on the other hand, has previously testified in the trial about her relationship with Depp in the mid-1990s

Barkin stated he was using pot, taking a lot of cocaine, and ‘drinking a lot’ during that time.

She also recalled an alleged argument between Depp and a friend in a Las Vegas hotel room, during which Johnny allegedly flung a wine bottle across the room. Despite the fact that no one was hit, Barkin claimed he threw it in her way.

“He’s just a jealous man, controlling,” she said. “‘Where are you going? Who are you going with? What did you do last night?’

“I had a scratch on my back once that got him very, very angry because he insisted that it came from me having sex with a person who wasn’t him.”

Barkin’s comments came after Heard claimed during her testimony that Depp had thrown bottles at her in the past. She also claimed Depp sexually assaulted her with one.

Heard recalled: “The next thing I remember, I was bent over backwards on the bar, meaning my chest was up. I was staring at the blue light. My back is on the countertop and I thought he was punching me.

“I felt this pressure on my pubic bone. I thought he was punching me.

“I could feel his arm moving and it looked like he was punching me. But I could just feel this pressure.”
