Jennifer Connelly recently revealed that she was forced to fly through the air with Tom Cruise on the set of their latest film Top Gun: Maverick due to his “insistence.”

According to the Daily Mail, Jennifer, who plays Penny Benjamin in the film, appeared on Monday’s The One Show, where she revealed her fear of heights, which is why she has never enjoyed flying.

Interestingly, the 51-year-old recalled Tom insisting on “each of his co-stars gaining flight experience prior to filming the movie.”

Did she fly in a plane, she was asked by the host?

“Yes, but I wasn’t supposed to, it wasn’t part of the deal originally, but I did,” the actress responded.

“I didn’t really like it because I wasn’t a huge fan of flying,” she continued, “so for everyone who knows me it was kind of funny.”
The Hulk star also revealed that it all started when Tom inquired about “her experience of flying and airborne stunts.”

“‘I began to suspect that I was about to do some,” she replied jokingly.

“Even though I am not a pilot in the film, I did go up as a passenger and Tom was the pilot,” the actress added.

To be sure, the film will be released in theatres worldwide on May 24.
