The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Maya Hawke will make her debut appearance onscreen with her mother, Uma Thurman. Hawke will act with Samuel L. Jackson and Joe Manganiello in Yale Entertainment’s dark comic thriller The Kill Room.

The Stranger Things and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor has joined the cast, along with Debi Mazar (Goodfellas, Little Man Tate, Entourage) and Larry Pine (Goodfellas, Little Man Tate, Entourage) (Succession, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom).

The Kill Room, directed by Nicol Paone and written by Jonathan Jacobson, is expected to begin filming in New Jersey and New York this spring. Great Escape, Yale’s newly created sales and distribution brand, will handle international sales and co-represent the US rights with ICM Partners in Cannes.

Reggie (Manganiello), his employer (Jackson), and an art dealer (Thurman) are involved in a money laundering operation that turns the hitman into an overnight avant-garde star, forcing her to play the art world against the underworld.

Under their Yale Productions name, Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Jon Keeyes are producing alongside Anne Clements of Idiot Savant Pictures, Paone, Thurman, Dannielle Thomas, and Jason Weinberg of Untitled Entertainment, and William Rosenfeld of Such Content.
