In filmmaker Michel Franco’s upcoming film, Oscar winner Jessica Chastain and actor Peter Sarsgaard will star. According to sources, the film, titled ‘Memory,’ would focus around a New York City staycation and will be Franco’s second America-set feature after 2015’s ‘Chronic.’

Merritt Wever, Josh Charles, Elsie Fisher, and Jessica Harper will join Chastain and Sarsgaard in the film.

Franco earned the Venice Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize for his 2020 feature ‘New Order,’ which was a festival favourite. ‘After Lucia,’ ‘April’s Daughter,’ and ‘Sundown’ are among his other directing credits.

Chastain, who won an Oscar for ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ this year, will next appear in ‘Good Nurse’ and ‘Mothers Instinct.’

Sarsgaard recently appeared in the series ‘Dopesick,’ as well as films such as ‘The Batman,’ and ‘The Lost Daughter,’ directed by his actor-wife Maggie Gyllenhaal.
