April was a wonderful month for Netflix Indian movies. We obtained the exclusive premieres of two brand new Hindi films, as well as the streaming debuts of theatrical releases in numerous languages.

As if that weren’t enough, Netflix debuted an original criminal series that is currently at the top of the charts in several countries.

Here is a list of all the new Indian movies and TV shows that will be available on Netflix in April 2022.

Cobalt Blue (2022) N

The passions of a tomboyish field hockey player and her brother, who is coming to grips with his gay sexuality, are inflamed by an attractive tenant. The novel is set in a conservative Kerala family in 1996 and explores how alienating it was to be different in an era before broad internet access. Cobalt Blue is based on Sachin Kundalkar’s novel of the same name, which he also directed.

Dasvi (2022)

Dasvi was released exclusively on Netflix, despite not being a Netflix Original Film. Abhishek Bachchan plays a cocky politician who is arrested for bribery. To get out of prison’s manual labour, he enrols in high school classes, only to have his entire worldview revolutionised by the power of education. This is a family-friendly film that is both humorous and meaningful.

Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022)

Suriya plays a lawyer who joins forces with the women of two nearby villages to resist sexual exploitation. He takes matters into his own hands when the Indian court system fails them. The killer statement comes from one of the villains: “Great guys are usually wicked men.” Etharkkum Thunindhavan is available in Tamil original and Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu dubbed versions.

It puts them in the crosshairs of a determined cop and a crooked political machine, all of whom are interested in learning what the couple is hiding.
